The Summer Reading Challenge
is back for 2020! Help your child celebrate the joy of reading with the Silly Squad, a fun-loving crew of animal friends who love to laugh! To take part, your child will need to set up their Silly Squad profile and avatar online, a reading goal and write a review for each book that has been completed on their way to unlocking a Silly Squad certificate. There will be extra rewards to collect as they progress through the challenge including videos, activities and extra avatars.
Any books can be used to complete the challenge: fiction, fact books, poetry, joke books, picture books, audio books
and comics, so there will be something to appeal to all tastes!
Due to fast-changing events this summer, each regional library service will have their own events and arrangements for supporting the Summer Reading Challenge and so we recommend that you visit the websites/social media for your local libraries.
