2016 ASC Reporting Requirements Now in Effect Medicare-certified ASCs are required to report 11 quality measures this year for Medicare’s ASC Quality Reporting Program. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) reported last year that more than 95 percent of Medicare-certified ASCs met the 2015 reporting requirements and received the full annual payment for 2016. To help continue this trend of ASCs com- plying and avoiding payment penalties, ASCA developed a free quality report- ing resource that identifies the dead- lines and reporting mechanisms asso- ciated with all 10 quality measures that ASCs will need to report this year. Visit ASCA’s Quality Reporting web

page, www.ascassociation.org/Quality Reporting, for additional resources, including the latest specifications man- ual, a quality data G-codes cheat sheet and sample safe surgery checklists.
