History Comes Alive! at Rokeby Museum


AGES 8-13 FOR CAMPERS AGES 14-18 FOR LEADERS-IN-TRAINING (LITS) with Kathryn Maitland & Assistants June 29-July 3 / 8:30 am-3 pm $350 campers / $225 LITs


In the 1830s, Rachel and Rowland Robinson owned a farm in Ferrisburgh and were abolitionists. Simon and Jesse were fugitives from slavery who worked on the farm alongside people from many diverse backgrounds. At the Rokeby Museum, we’ll explore this history and use the house, out buildings, and grounds to develop fictional characters who respond to the joys and challenges of the time.


Where Dance Meets Space: An Introduction to Site-Specific Composition


AGES 15-20 with Hanna Satterlee June 17-20 / 1-5 pm $200


Shelburne Museum


Let Shelburne Museum’s artwork and expansive, elegant architecture inspire your writing, choreography, perception, and dance movements. Participants create site-specific work for two public performances: an end-of-week showcase and the Vermont Dance Alliance’s TRACES event on June 20. Formal dance experience not required.


JULY Dance Adventure Camp


AGES 3-4: July 6-10 / 8:30 am-11:30 am AGES 4-5: July 6-10 /12-3 pm with Rose Bedard $225


Hoehl Studio Lab


Try out a different dance adventure each day in this camp designed for young dancers who are just getting started. Campers learn basic choreography and also experiment with improv, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary dance forms in a fun, flexible, and creative environment.

It’s Not Just a Box

Starting with a simple cardboard box, children learn the transformative power of dramatic play. Through theater games, music, and storybooks, children are taken on a creative imaginative journey with a new adventure each day—we never know where the box will take us!

Shelburne Farms


Why do pigs have curly tails while snakes have smooth scales? How do rabbits hop and unicorns gallop? Using a fun-tastic blend of drama and storytelling, we find the answers as we frolic with farm animals and explore the fields and forests on the incredibly beautiful grounds of Shelburne Farms.
