Kieninger state that this movement is interchangeable with all SKS movements with the same pendulum length & hand shaft length (a different number after the SKS denotes an amendment to the movement such as different mounting brackets and does not effect the main features of the movement)

Hubert Herr are one of the only two major cuckoo clock movement manufacturers left in the mystical Black Forest in Germany (the other being Regula) and have been manufacturing mechanical cuckoo movements for decades.
Hubert Herr recommend that replacing a cuckoo clock movement is often quicker and more cost effective than servicing or repairing an old one. Using a new movement ensures you take full advantage of the advances in manufacturing technology.
