November might be cold, but I find that part of its charm; it's an exciting month as the festive events start in earnest, although for me they started in June...I know!! Villages such as Broadway take on an ethereal beauty with Christmas lights making their way into windows and the buzz of late night shopping evenings giving you the chance to slip into The Lygon Arms for a hot toddy – or if you're day shopping, a festive afternoon tea! There's something magical about the colder months which I love, especially lay- ering up in winter coats and boots and enjoying nights in (and out) by roaring log fires. Don't get me wrong, I love the sun, I'm one of those people that moves around the pool area or garden stalking it until it disappears, but the winter is romantic by its very nature.

Our lead interview in this issue is Linda Hamilton, aka Sarah Connor from the Terminator films. I've met her previously at a party in Cannes, which now seems like another lifetime entirely for Linda who for many years has shunned the limelight, choosing the quiet life away from 'inflated lips and egos' as she puts it! She was persuaded to reprise her role of Sarah Connor for Terminator: Dark Fate that hit the screens at the end of October. If you haven't seen the film yet, it’s worth the trip. Read her interview first to help set the scene as to where Sarah Connor, and indeed Linda, 'are at'.
There's plenty of festive inspiration in this issue, to include details of Christmas light switch-on events and the Painswick Goodwill Festival, which sounds just delightful. There's also lots of gift inspiration from jewellery to food and the focus is on 'shopping local', supporting local businesses, which is important, now more than ever.
