BUILDING ENVELOPE SWA member supply and fit success
The redevelopment of a former industrial building in Leicester involved a Steel Window Association member, Monk Metal Windows, who provided a supply, fit and glaze package for the main contractor. Barry McCabe of Monk Metal Windows said: “Having surveyed the elevations to the Deacon Street building and manufactured the 600 bespoke frames required, our site team carried out the installation over a four- week period, following an agreed sequence from the third floor down to ground level.
All of the new windows were perimeter sealed by us with a matching silicone seal – leaving everything secure and weather-tight.” For further information on the Steel Window Association, please visit the website.

Marley pulled out the stops recently to help a customer complete a roofing project, which included the supply of its brand new classic red smooth acme double camber tile before it had even launched. Marley’s Regional Sales Director, Andrew Rooke commented: “It became clear that a soon to be launched Marley product – a new classic red smooth acme double camber tile – could well be the perfect answer.” Determined to ensure the customer got the best service, Marley subsequently arranged
that the required small quantity of the new product from the trial run was supplied without delay, so the project could be completed on time without waiting for the new product’s formal launch into the marketplace.
