The last rolling year = 3481, that is a 10.5% increase on last year.
Local Updates The Barnstaple neighbourhood team, particularly PC Andy White, has been working with our partners to bring about some great results that reduce demand on local officers. Having two large bridges in the area, one in Barnstaple and one on Bideford, has an impact on Police and other agencies as they are often used by people suffering with mental health. The continued multi agency works enables the right help to be given those that need it, which not only help reduce demand on Police but also helps friends and families of those that need support.
Op Landman is a response to a spike in thefts though the area of ‘quad bikes’. Please be vigilant, report suspicious activity and ask for local officer if you
would like some rural crime prevention advice.
PD Dino Police Dog Dino looks like a harmless puppy! He has spent some time with retired Police Dog handler PC Rogers having some early training. The main role of the force puppy walkers is to raise and socialise their pup so that when their pup is eventually allocated to their handler at around 12 to 14 months of age the puppy is confident in meeting every conceivable environmental circumstance or situation that they encounter.
This makes for a much better-rounded and balanced future Police dog. Good Luck Dino!
