NARI CERTIFICATIONS
What kind of NARI professional do you need for your project? Not all NARI professionals are alike. Some are able to provide generalized remodeling services, while others specialize in specific areas. The following are the specific certifications that remodeling professionals can obtain (and then keep by continually meeting NARI’s annual re-certification requirements):
CR- Certified Remodeler. Provides a full range of remodeling services. CRS- Certified Remodeler Specialist. Specializes in a specific type of remodeling work (i.e. electrical, plumbing, masonry, etc.) CRA- Certified Remodeler Associate. A remodeling support professional, like architect, interior designer or manufacturer. MCR- Master Certified Remodeler. A CR with 10+ years experience, and has another NARI certification.
CKBR- Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler. Specializes in remodels of kitchens and bathrooms. UDCP- Universal Design Certified Professional. Handles renovations dedicated to moving freely around a home, regardless of any age or physical limitations.
CLC- Certified Lead Carpenter. An on-site supervisor overseeing the technical aspects of a project. CRPM-Certified Remodeler Project Manager. Oversees every administrative aspect of a project. GCP- Green Certified Professional. Proficient in using materials and processes in the most efficient and responsible manner. NARI Accredited Remodeling Company - NARI Accreditation is designed to apply to a remodeling business as a whole. Only well-structured remodeling organizations become accredited by demonstrating their business framework complies with our industry standard for integrity, professionalism, and solid business operations.
