Leiston Leisure Centre is now open!


It’s been brilliant to welcome so many of you back to our community leisure centre since we reopened on Monday 17th June! We’ve been so thrilled by the response and we hope you’re enjoying the brilliant new centre!


What’s already available? A lot of you have already come down for a swim in the refurbished pool hall and the feedback on the new changing rooms, and the health suite has been great!


Our swimming lesson is due to kick off at the start of this month and it’s been fantastic to see so many familiar faces re-joining us from our sister site, Deben Leisure Centre in Woodbridge. There’s also been a whole raft of new faces which is great! If you’ve been thinking about


learning yourself, or getting lessons for your little ones, don’t forget we have lessons for all ages from 6 months upwards! Just give us a call to get started. We also have the servery area and soft play in full use in the reception area too!


What’s still to come? While Phase 1 gave us back to wetside areas, we’ve still got lots more work going on behind the scenes to get Phase 2 ready. Later this summer we will also introduce.


Gym:


The new gym has been relocated and will be on the first floor is now a 64-station fitness suite including cardiovascular, strength, resistance and functional zones! It’s a huge change from before!


Group Exercise and Group Cycling Studios: Our two new dance studies are coming shortly after our reopening. These will house our group fitness programme and we’ll even have a separate group cycling studio complete


with virtual and instructor- led classes too! All these rooms are multi-use and bookable when there’s no classes running.


What other features will there be? There’s so much that’s been changed, but the squash courts and main hall have been given a facelift, the pool lighting has been upgraded to LEDs so we’re being more energy efficient
