operating base. Clad in DHL’s yellow and red, the brand new 777 with the registration number N-705GT departed to Bahrain on its commercial maiden flight. The replacement of the
older intercontinental fleet with the most fuel-efficient and reliable freighter type allows DHL to meet the increasing global demand for express services.

Flagler County joins Northeast Florida’s FTZ
The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) announces that Flagler County (FL) has joined Northeast Florida’s Foreign Trade Zone No. 64. The addition now allows any company within Flagler County to apply to the U.S. Foreign Trade Zone Board for FTZ designation. It typically takes 30 days or less for approval aſter the Board accepts the application. JAXPORT is the
administrating agency for all users within Northeast Florida’s FTZ No. 64. To add Flagler
an important milestone in our mission to overhaul our intercontinental fleet. This efficient, long-range and high-capacity freighter will enable us to serve even more markets with non-stop flights and significantly contributes to
greater sustainability in
line with our sustainability strategy
‘zero emission by
2050’ “, says John Pearson, CEO of DHL Express. With a payload capability of
112 tons and a range of 9,200 km, the B777 F has the largest capacity and range of all twin- engine freight airplanes. They are also more fuel efficient and reliable than older models, reducing CO2 emissions by 18 per cent versus the aircraft
being replaced. The older B747-400s aircraft will be gradually replaced as the new models arrive. Another three B777 F are scheduled to arrive this year. DHL Express operates over
260 dedicated aircrafts with 17 partner airlines on over 600 daily flights across 220 countries and territories.
Maintaining its accomplished operations from Ataturk and Istanbul airports as “Dual Hub”, the global brand of Turkish Cargo continued its strong
growth momentum during the first quarter of the year despite the shrinkage of the global air cargo sector. During the first three months
of the 2019, which featured a shrinkage of 3.1% across the air cargo sector, Turkish Cargo managed to increase its sold cargo

11.6% compared to the same time period of the previous year according to the WACD (World Air Cargo Data). With this success, Turkish Cargo maintained its 7th place on WACD list while showing its determination for its rise to the top.
According to the tonnage by
WACD’s first quarter regional data, Turkish Cargo experienced the most growth on Asian and American markets. Global carrier achieved a growth rate of 15.4% in the sold cargo tonnage across the Asian market which experienced a shrinkage by 4.4% while achieving a growth rate of 29.1% across the American market which shrunk by 3.1%. National air carrier enjoyed positive results in all regions it operated. Turkish
Cargo
recently completed the move of its operations to Istanbul Airport, which company officials dub the ‘Great Move.’ Its operations at Istanbul Airport are open 24/7. Turkish
Cargo will also
maintain operations Ataturk on a “Dual Hub” basis.

County, the United States Foreign Trade Zone Board recently approved JAXPORT’s application to reorganize FTZ No. 64 under the Alternative Site Framework. “We are very pleased to join
this Foreign Trade Zone,” said Helga van Eckert, Executive Director of Flagler County’s Department of Economic Opportunity. “Companies within Flagler County may now take full advantage of Jacksonville’s growing seaport and the economic benefits of operating within an FTZ.”
