Drones, IoT, AI… all part of today’s warehouses
Drones fly around warehouses to crunch one- and two-day inventory audits into less than four hours. Internet of Things sensors
connect carriers, operators, inventory, and shipments for faster and more transparent product flow. Artificial intelligence and
“machine learning” analyze shipping patterns, weather,
trucks’ miles-per-gallon, and carbon output, to name just a few granular bits of data—and vast amounts of it—in today’s bold new digitized supply chain. “Data is the most broadly
disruptive solution right now,” says Andy Moses, Senior Vice President of Global Products at Penske Logistics. “I believe that Big Data and artificial
intelligence will disrupt all of the supply chain.” Digitization, says Steve
