(Military) Knight Commander’s neck badge, Georgian hallmarks for 22 carat gold, partial maker’s mark ‘TD’ over ‘HD’ for Thomas and Henry Davies, date letter obscured but unquestionably a rare 1814 badge with its distinctive finely chased ‘hinged’ gold oak leaf ring and 4-inch wide full-length neck cravat complete with wide gold clasp fittings, the somewhat delicate hinge fitting of the suspension ring now detached but otherwise complete, minor losses of green enamel to wreaths, otherwise nearly extremely fine and rare £3,600-£4,600
