Drunk teacher drove into post


A SECONDARY school teacher collided with a lamppost after downing a bottle of wine, a court heard. NicolaCotter (46) crashedinto the


post just aftermidnight onApril 24 in her silver Peugeot on Royal Engi- neers Road on herway to buy ciga- rettes. Officers arrived at the scene and


found Cotter (pictured) standing next to the car with a head injury claiming “I thought someone was upmy ****.” Prosecuting, Debbie Jones told


MaidstoneMagistrates Court: “An ambulance was nearby and took her to Pembury Hospital with a head injury.Abreath test at the po- lice station indicated she had 82mg of alcohol in her breath.” The legal limit is 35mg. The court heard Cotter had three
