Business news TIG partners with YachtCloud

The TIG (Technological Inno- vations Group) sales agency has announced a new partner- ship with Dutch luxury AV and IT system product developer, YachtCloud. TIG is a driving force for sales excellence in the AV/IT technology industry and this partnership marks a third strategic collaboration for the company, founded in February of this year, following rebrand- ing from Crestron EMEA. “YachtCloud is proud to an- nounce that as of today, Tech- nological Innovations Group (TIG) will represent all Yacht- Cloud products in the EMEA region. In line with TIG’s com- pany vision, they will lead the way in educating the industry about technological develop- ments which will transform the way in which we live and work. With the TIG network of 2500

integrators, 11 offices across the EMEA region and 120 staff, YachtCloud can develop further towards a strong and sustainable future,” said Arjan Kleinveld, Managing Partner at YachtCloud. YachtCloud perfectly comple- ments TIG’s existing brand port- folio. To launch the partnership TIG will be selling GEST - Yacht- Cloud’s stylish and customis- able steward call button. Easily enabled with a Wi-Fi connec- tion, GEST is a location-aware, two-way communication solu- tion to provide a high-end guest service on yachts, in luxury hotel suites, high-end meeting spaces etc…... Standard or pri- ority calls are differentiated by touching the call button for two or five seconds. The subtle light and sound features indicate the status of each call, seamlessly

informing the user that service will arrive shortly. TIG will be adding YachtCloud’s OMNI- YON onboard media content service to its portfolio in the near future. “At TIG, we already hold a strong background in marine and hospitality technology, working for many years with Crestron to specify bespoke AV integrations for world-leading superyachts

and luxury ho-

tels. YachtCloud brings a new dimension of service to our of- fering, with high-end solutions that take the guest experience to a new level of luxury. Clients don’t need to look any further than TIG and can rest assured they are in expert hands from start to finish.” Robin van Meeuwen, President and CEO, TIG.

VR firm’s international ambitions following £1m investment

We featured Igloo Vision last year, but things move on apace. The Shropshire firm develops projection domes and software to create 360° immersive virtual reality experiences. The firm’s immersive 360° virtual reality (VR) experiences and solutions have already been chosen by clients including BP, Microsoft and Uber.

The company has now received a £1 million investment via Frontier Development Capital (FDC). The funding will support Igloo Vision’s latest international expansion plans, as it grows its chain of sales and demonstra- tion centres. The firm is to also undergo a recruitment drive, with seven new hires already planned.

The company is known for de-

veloping projection domes and cylinders which, when com- bined with its specialist software and technology, create unique 360° VR experiences for up to 750 people. Calling itself a Shared VR company, Igloo can display any 360° content or VR in its immersive spaces. And, because entire teams can get inside these spaces and engage with the content, the technology is well-suited to training, simu- lation and visualisation, as well as events and experiences. Since opening in 2007, Ig- loo has delivered more than 500 events and installations in 22 countries and now employs 50 people across offices in Shropshire, London, New York, Los Angeles, Toronto and Mel- bourne. Dennis Wright, CEO at

Igloo Vision, said:

“For a VR company we are unusual, because we are already profitable and selling to many of the world’s biggest brands. The one thing that has held us back is that we haven’t had enough investment to expand as quickly as we would have liked. Frontier Development Capital’s involve- ment now enables us to accel- erate our growth." Last year, the business re- corded £3.3 million of Amer- ican export sales after a string of contract wins. Igloo expects this to rise to £19 million with- in five years. It recently an- nounced a new project with a global consulting firm to install Igloo systems at two US-based innovation centres, as well as a network of offices.

Maverick AV Solutions has an- nounced a Pan-European part- nership with industry-leading manufacturers of AI-powered conference cameras, Huddly. Maverick will be supporting Huddly’s European footprint, enabling increased growth into new markets and sectors. Mav- erick’s 18 European countries will be distributing two con- ference cameras both on their own and in a one-box-solution, the Huddly IQ and the Huddly GO.

Both are certified to work with leading brands in collab- oration including Google, Av- ocor, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Crestron and NEC Displays, truly making this conference camera a flexible AV product. The award-winning Huddly IQ has a 150-degree wide-an- gle video lens, embedded

microphone and features ad- vanced room analytics and AI technology. With Genius Framing, Huddly IQ makes the meeting experience feel natural by smoothly zooming in on the participants and framing them perfectly in the image. Via the Huddly InSights API, organi- sations that choose to install a Huddly IQ camera within their meeting spaces can access data and crucial insights about how those spaces are being used. Huddly GO is a compact, wide-angle, software-enhanced conference camera that dis- plays video content in high quality through a USB connec- tion. Simon Kitson, General Manager for Maverick Europe explains:

“This partnership will allow Maverick to provide an even more agile solution to our cus-

tomers. The Huddly GO and IQ are perfect for a range of meet- ing spaces and offer a great op- portunity to resellers who want to deliver high quality video conferencing technology along- side other components. We are able to offer Huddly consistent support for multi-country roll- outs

and rapid deployment through our logistics support.”

Mersive Technologies has named prodyTel Distribution GmbH from Nuremberg and eLink Distribution AG from Hamburg as new distributors for Germany. The two compa- nies will sell and support the newly launched Mersive Sol- stice Gen3 wireless

content

sharing and collaboration solu- tion, which was announced at ISE.

“Mersive‘s approach convinced me immediately,” explains Christian Carrero, Managing Di- rector of prodyTel Distribution GmbH. “Mersive Solstice is a significant advance on existing wireless collaboration systems on the market. Mersive has clearly and consistently pur- sued the IT/network approach

without annoying dongles. Its user interface is almost self-ex- planatory and making the sim- ple and effective cooperation of

an unlimited number of partici- pants on one or several displays possible.”
