Hawkinge SpitfireS Club The club is for the over 55's and we meet once a month on the second Wednesday in Hawkinge Village Hall. We have a variety of speaker's, music afternoons and outings during the year. Visitors are welcome and the cost is £3.00 including tea and biscuits.

We'll open to a joyous peal of bells from our bellringers who will also offer tours of the historic church tower. There will be over 30 stalls selling delicious local food and drink and gorgeous handmade gifts, and a fabulous raffle to win Eurotunnel tickets and other prizes. the folkestone branch of the british Sugarcraft guild invite you to join us at St Andrews Hall , Surrenden Road, Cheriton. We meet on the first Saturday of each month excepting January 1.30pm until 4pm. Come along and see what we do with all forms of sugar and all methods of working with it old and new. Learn from trained demonstrators,join in workshops and talk to our members who are beginners through to old hands. They would be pleased to share their knowledge. This month we will be holding our AGM but next month we have a workshop of a Bride and Groom with Justine Talbot . Coastwatch Open Day 11am to 4pm Sunday 30 June The Coastwatch Lookout, alongside Martello Tower No 3 on the Pitch and Putt course, will be holding its Annual Open Day on 30 June between 11am and 4pm. The public is invited to come along and meet the Watchkeepers, and enjoy a tour of the station, with tea and refreshments available. Dog biscuits also available for our canine friends. There is no charge, but we hope that visitors will be happy to make a small donation towards our valuable and vital work. This event is scheduled to coincide with Armed Forces Day when our prominent position provides an ideal viewpoint for the Red Arrows and other displays.
