Château Le Breil (Maine-et-Loire) The Château Le Breil is a B&B set-up, with rooms designed in the character of Pays de la Loire. Want to be a fairy-tale bride? You can! The castle can be rented for weddings, special events, family reunions… whatever your heart desires. The main building was built in the 15th century, just after the Hundred Years War, while a side tower was added in 1856. Château Le Prieuré (Maine-et-Loire) With rows of beautiful chestnut trees leading up to its grand entrance, dreamy Château Le Prieuré lies in Chênehutte- Trèves-Cunault, sandwiched between Saumur and Angers. Château Le Prieuré dates back to the 10th century and the Benedictine monks who found the beauty and serenity of the area ideal for their life of prayer. In the 19th century, along came the Count of Aubépin, followed at the turn of the 20th century by the Count of Castellane, both of whom made modifications to the château. It is the latter we have to thank for Le Prieuré’s splendid terraces, from which you can enjoy the beautiful riverside vista.
