Borough CllrWebb said the purpose of themeetings was to ensure that the planning conditions were adhered to. CllrWhitmarsh said Berry Gardens had agreed that there would be a point of contact for residents Greensand Ridge It was reported that at anMBC cabinetmeeting it had been agreed to start the process ofmaking the Greensand Ridge an area of outstanding natural beauty. AllotmentsA report was presented by allotmentsmanager Jane Sawyer. There were five rents outstanding and reminders were being sent. There was one vacant plot, in which a new resident had shown interest. The autumn tidy-up had taken place, with about 14 plotholders.A new plotholder had asked for permission to erect a shed, and this was granted.A sitemeeting was being planned to discuss rainwater drainage. Playground The report was noted. Cllr Smith was waiting for a quotation for the repair of the slide. He askedmembers what action they wished to take regarding the perimeter fence. It was agreed that Cllr Smith wouldmake good the fence, which would then be monitored.

Viaduct There was a flooding issue and the clerk was reporting all of the blocked drains and gullies on the KCC Parish Portal. Forstal LaneWard Cllr Sue Grigg was due to have ameeting with the developers regarding street furniture to prevent residents turning right intoWell Street. and carrying out welfare visits. Residents were asked to get in touch if they had concerns about anyone. Crime report PCSO Ross Russell said there was a burglary issue in the area. The police were currently looking for a blue Ford Fiesta with false plates. If any residents had issues with their number plates being cloned or see any suspicious vehicles in the area they should contact the police.A Ford Transit van had been broken into in Linton Road and a scanner and a charger were stolen. School parking PCSO Russell had contacted Tovil Parish Council as they had the same issues with their primary school. The parish council would complete a road improvement plan to get signs in the area. PCSO Russell would then get the community policing teamto a�end to issue parking tickets. Pumping stationAs there had been no issues with the pumping station for the last fewmonths it was agreed to take no further action. Speedwatch There had been a couple of problems during observations. On two occasions, once they had set up the equipment, there had been emergency roadwork nearby and they had had to stop the session. They were trying to recruitmore volunteers and were hoping thatmore sites would be agreed. Brooks Field Terry Davis said there had been no news frombuilding control as to approval, despite the application being submi�edmore than amonth earlier. He would get the architect to chase up the application withMaidstone Borough Council. Coffeemornings The community coffee mornings continued to be successful. The earlier starting time had a�racted another
eight people and was appreciated by parents dropping off children at the school and by others who could drop in for a coffee before catching the bus to Maidstone. Pavilion flooring It was agreed to go with Footsteps Flooring and it was hoped that the flooring would be laid at February half term. The clerk would check that funds were available to cover the costs. New councillor It was agreed thatMr B Hillman would join the council as a co- optedmember. The clerk would sent out the necessary documentation.

Police report There had been six crimes since the lastmeeting: one burglary; two thefts fromvehicles; one theft of a vehicle; one theft froma property; one theft of oil froma tank. PCSO Nichol Morris reported on the assault atMarden Railway Station, which had been reported to British Transport Police. There had been six cases of anti-social behaviour. Flooding issues The Environment Agency was continuing to support homeowners who had raised concerns over the flood resilience of their property. Toilets The contract for toilet cleaning had been terminated. The clerk had wri�en to four companies asking for quotes but the toilets would be closed until a new contract had been agreed. Memorial Hall CCTV was due to be installed, with the fire alarmsystem being installed during February half term. Cllr Turner had some concerns about health and safety at the hall and
