Having opened in November 2015, Sax Velo is now well into its fourth year of trading based in the centre of Saxmundham at 20 Market Place. This truly is a family business with Jon and Caroline Bray being joined by their daughter Amelia.
The first thing you will notice about the shop is the selection of bicycles for sale. Recognised manufacturers such as Forme, Dawes, claud Butler and Squish ensure a good range of styles and budget. of course, it is not possible for Jon to stock every make, model and size but with an excellent network of suppliers he is able to order whatever you may want. one new product that the team are particularly excited about is the range of lightweight aluminium children’s bikes from a great brand called Squish. Squish is lighter than ISlA and cheaper than FRoG Jon is passionate about these as a quality lightweight bicycle makes riding much more enjoyable. What’s more, the team will run a trade-up scheme, so that if you have bought a Squish bike from Sax Velo you can bring it in and trade it up for the next size when your child has outgrown it. Another new product is the Forme eBike. This is a stylish, electric bike which makes going for a ride a pleasure regardless of fitness or terrain. Alongside the new bicycles,

to keep their legs going even if they are not able to get out on their bike. From entry level to high-end there is a selection in stock to try before you buy so please come in and take a look. The other arm of the business
is repair and servicing. Sax Velo offer a complete service with a three-tiered package offering Bronze at £35, Silver at £55 and Gold at £85. These rates do not include parts and of course, Jon will check before carrying out any repair work. Keeping your bicycle well serviced and maintained will mean you get the best out of it and it will last as long as you would like it to. Joining him on the service side of the business is Amelia who is cytec 2 qualified. Between them, Jon and Amelia can undertake repairs and servicing
on any make and model of bicycle. Sax Velo are about to offer
interest free finance over 3, 6 or 12 months coming soon through V12 Finance. We are joining the cycle to Work scheme in March. It is fantastic to see this independent family business thriving and a community of enthusiastic cyclists growing around this brilliant shop. There are organised rides for all abilities every week with the emphasis very much on being inclusive, not exclusive.
