SPECIAL TO THE HAMPTON ROADS MESSENGER VIRGINIA BEACH,
VA — On Nov. 20, 2018, Virginia Beach City Council approved the Deed Transfer and Title of the property at 704 Hampshire Way for an African American Cultural Center. This holiday season, one can view the new public art installation, "Community Heroes." The City of Virginia Beach Office of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the African American Cultural Center of Virginia Beach present this interactive exhibition featuring portraits of 17 African American Heroes from Virginia Beach. Posters will be displayed across Hampton Roads in guerrilla art style -- on the walls of local businesses, libraries, schools and other select locations. The expansive poster
exhibit is meant to catch people unexpectedly in the course of their day-to-day routines, but
there is also a map highlighting the poster locations that the public can use to locate all 17 heroes. When you find a poster, you can scan its QR code with your smartphone to get more information on the hero, plus information about the artists. The community heroes include educators, community advocates, war heroes, actors and more. Dr.

Paula Boyd, State Farm Agent, 757-826-2412 You've probably figured out that the

Type of Car: Generally, the more
expensive the car, the more you pay for car insurance.
Location: Because of the higher frequency
of issues like theft, accidents, and vandalism, urban drivers may pay more than those in rural areas.

Car Insurance Costs and Money-Saving Tips
How Much the Car is Driven: People
who drive a lot for work or commute a long distance usually pay more than those who drive less.
Age, Sex, and Marital Status: Accident
rates are generally higher for drivers under 25, especially men, which often means higher insurance prices. Married drivers may pay less.
Driving Record: Drivers with poor
driving records usually pay more for insurance than people who have been accident-free for several years.
Coverages: Insurance policies consist
of a variety of coverages. Generally, the more coverage you buy, the higher the cost.
Credit History: Certain credit
information has been shown to be a very effective predictor of future insurance claims. In most states, credit information is one factor used to determine the cost of your car insurance. Maintaining good credit may save you money on your car insurance.
Deductible: A deductible is the part of a loss that you've agreed to pay with your

cappella melodies which pay homage to African heritage and tell the history of Africa. “It is not often in a lifetime that you have
an opportunity to wipe out thousands of miles in distance in such a significant and spiritually uplifting way. ‘I Hear Music in the Air' is destined to do that," said Elder Eric Miller, Lead Concert Organizer from Temple Beth El. “In that way when these young people take the stage, the universal language of music will transcend distance, language and culture. All of Hampton Roads should be here to witness it,” Miller added. While in the U.S., the singers will be visiting the tabernacles in each of the five
