Patrick O’Reilly rose to prominence as a sculptor and artist from relative obscurity in the 1990s. He is best known for his bronze works, particularly his distinctive Teddy Bears which can be seen in public areas across Europe, though his sculpture and installation work is varied. These two early works hint at his later success with his bronze animals, while also showing his creativity with the human figure and with bronze as a material.
