MEMBERSwere confused byMaidstone’s parking services officer Lou Tuck in a response to calls for a solution to parking onWare Street. Chairman Daniel Skinner said: “I think we need to ask for clarity from
Bearsted Parish Council as to what it requested and from the borough council in terms ofwhat it actuallymeans by saying that allowing parking on this road would slow traffic but could lead to an ‘increased risk of safety’. I’mafraid I really don’t know what this actuallymeans.” ThurnhamParish Council has raised concerns about parked cars onWare Street blockingmotorists and pedestrians’ view at vital crossing points.

guard thewater source fromindus- trial pollution on the Roxhill site. The written request will be sent to Maidstone Borough Council.
Schools need COUNTY councillor Shellina Pren- dergast reported on the need for schools in the area. She said the STEM school pro-
posed for the New Cut Road site had been delayed until 2020.
