$25,000 donation to Scott and Jenn Harrington By PGATOUR.COM

Northwestern University, turned professional in 2004 and has accrued over 170 starts on the Web. com Tour. Through 11 starts in 2018, the 37-year-old had recorded two top-25 finishes and sat at No. 65 on the Tour’s money list.

In June, the Web.com Tour launched a GoFundMe page for the family with a goal of raising $150,000 to assist with Jenn’s treatment as well as the cost of living.

“Jenn and I want to thank Ellie Mae Photo by A. J. Jones HAYWARD, California – During

his press conference following the second round of the Web.com Tour’s Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae, Golden State Warriors All-Star Guard Stephen Curry announced that the Ayesha and Stephen Curry Foundation will donate $25,000 to Web.com Tour member Scott Harrington and his wife Jenn, who was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma for a second time this May. In addition to the Foundation’s effort, title sponsor Ellie Mae will make an additional $15,000 donation for a sum total of $40,000 to the family.

“This is an opportunity for me

-- obviously there’s no words to -- I can’t put into words any other thoughts or feelings about what

their family’s going through,” said Curry after his round. “We encourage anybody who’s a fan of the game and who appreciates what these guys do every day to go to his GoFundMe page as well, Scott and Jennifer Harrington, and donate what you can to help them get through this tough time.”

In August of 2017, Jenn Harrington was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, then deemed free and clear in December of the same year. On May 11, 2018, doctors informed her the cancer had returned, and that Jenn would have to endure an intense chemotherapy program for two to three months, eventually undergoing a bone marrow transplant to hopefully rid herself of the cancer for good. In

turn, Scott was granted a Special Medical/Family Crisis Extension from the Web.com Tour so that he could be at home with his wife.

“As the sponsor of the Web.

com Tour stop at TPC Stonebrae, the team at Ellie Mae has come to view the players not just as golf professionals, but as members of our extended family. We heard that Scott Harrington took a leave to care for his wife and having followed Scott on the Tour, we know of his compassion and kindness,” said Ellie Mae President and CEO Jonathan Corr. “To provide that compassion back during their time of need, Ellie Mae will donate $15,000 to Scott and his family and are sending our love and support.”

Harrington, a former standout at

and the Ayesha and Stephen Curry Foundation for such a generous gift. Steph called us personally today to tell us what they were planning to do, and that really meant so much to us for him to reach out like that, and for him and the event organizers to think of us,” said Harrington. “This has been a very trying few months and there are more difficult times ahead, but we’re optimistic that Jenn will kick this thing and get back to the healthy, active life she’s led for so long. We are so appreciative of the entire Web.com Tour staff, all of the players from both the Web.com Tour and PGA TOUR, and the countless number of people who have heard our story who have helped us through this difficult time.”
