In her article she shares key findings on the topic, then reflects on what this means for the P-12 music educator. Many older adults want to reengage with music making activities they enjoyed during their youth. But do they have the skills and opportunities to do so in ways that are meaningful to them? Tere are so many untapped possibilities for connecting with this popu- lation in ways that will benefit our students, our programs, and our communities. Just imagine where intergenerational music making opportunities might lead!


Still need more to do over the summer? Take a look at Anand Sukumaran’s article, Technology Resources for Collaborative and Creative Music Making in the Books and Media column. Sukumaran makes a compelling argument for affording music technology a more prominent place in the P-12 music curriculum. He then goes on to review a wide range of music technology offerings, from soſtware and hardware to digital audio workstations to web-based sharing and cloud-based notation programs.
