COTSWOLD TASTE LOCA L L AUNCH

Businesses attending Cotswold Taste’s ‘Local Launch’ at Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, were told that a brand is the sum of all the experiences you have with a food and drink company, a message well received by all who attended.

The Local Launch, attended by Laurence Robertson MP and his wife Annie, was held at the historic ‘Royal Hop Pole Hotel’, Tewkesbury and was attended by people from across the local food and drink chain as well as supporting businesses.

Guests listened to Quentin Thomas, Director of award-winning creative agency Riley & Thomas Ltd of Broadway, who explained that the right branding could ‘open doors’. ‘Businesses need to realise that a brand is not just a product, promise or a feeling, but the sum of everything consumers have or go through – look, feel, taste, customer service, customer experiences and customer journeys’; Quentin emphasised.

He added that a great ‘back story’ was also an essential ingredient in most cases: the stories about the people behind the product or offering, and what they are literally ‘bringing to the table’.

Laurence Robertson MP wished Cotswold Taste success and also took the opportunity to urge local food and drink businesses to ‘get out there and promote their produce, as never before’.

Nick Waloff, Executive Chair of Cotswold Taste, said: ‘We’re delighted to launch the first of our ‘Local Groups’ in the Cotswolds region. We’re looking forward to holding meetings every two or so months, with an exciting speaker about the future of the food and drink chain at each one’.

He added; ‘It’s an excellent way for our members and business partners to meet together, socialise and network in a relaxing environment’.
