“Bran Duck” will be flying into Braunton again this year on August Bank Holiday Monday (August 27th). He will be bringing a large flotilla of his little yellow friends as they land on the River Caen at St Brannock’s Church ready to join in the fun of the St Brannock’s Annual Duck Race which begins at 12noon.

Take a break from watching the ducks and explore all the things to do in the Churchyard along the avenue and in St Brannock’s Rooms. With a wide range of stalls to browse through and lots to buy there is sure to be something for everyone to take home. If you are feeling lucky buy a ticket for the tombola or why not have a go at the games - “Higher or Lower Card Game” 100 Squares including of course the Giant Raffle.

The children will be found enjoying the Bouncy Castle or waiting their turn to go the Pony Rides in the Churchyard. The Pony Rides around the Churchyard are always very popular. It is completely off road and all safety precautions are taken with hats supplied.

Refreshments play a big part in any day out and this is no exception. Start with a barbecue at lunchtime as the Races start. In the afternoon enjoy a St Brannock’s Cream Tea. The food will be served all day so no need to make a decision early on.

Why not have a quiet few minutes and look into the Church. Guides will be on hand to answer your questions about this ancient building or just enjoy the peace.

This is a day out for all the family so everyone is very welcome.

Ducks will be on sale all day so you can spread out your support and be able to have a duck in every race if you wish. The first ducks will set off at noon and the fun of the races will continue during the afternoon.
