THE ROBIN HOOD THE PUB WITH GREAT FOOD

The team at the Robin Hood work tirelessly to make it the warm and friendly the locals all know and love; a place where you will enjoy great home-cooked food, quality real ales, a well-stocked bar and sperb events. A great summer venue where the kids can enjoy the mselves as much as the adults...

A traditional country pub located within the picturesque hamlet of Drayton, near Belbroughton, the Robin Hood Inn really is a jewel in the heart of the English countryside, the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing afternoon or evening in the comfortable bar and lounge areas. During the summer months it’s simply a glorious place to be.

The extensive outdoor areas include a terrace and patio with stylish bistro seating, whilst the gardens feature a range of eight-seater picnic benches, perfect for friends and family to enjoy food and drink alfresco style. The Robin Hood Inn’s enclosed outdoor children's play area is great for families, allowing parents to relax and supervise, whilst the children amuse themselves on the purpose-built climbing frame, slides, rope ladders and playhouse.

There’s always a packed schedule of events taking full advantage of the great outdoors, with regular barbecues, live music and hog roast. There really is something for everyone at the Robin Hood Inn.

Dining with friends, we reserved a table in the comfortable lounge; always busy, this warm, friendly area is ideal for relaxed dining, with extensive menus offering a great mix of traditional pub dishes and à la carte creations that take advantage of fresh local produce. Everything is freshly prepared and cooked to order, so the only problem here is deciding what you are going to choose. To make that choice just a little more difficult, there is always a blackboard full of daily specials that take full ad- vantage of the regionally sourced seasonal produce.

For starters try Kerry’s Hot Chilli Strips, which he just can’t take off the menu as the locals always want them back; beautiful tender strips of beef fillet with onions and chillies served with a side salad, they are hot, but full of flavour. We can also recommend the Cod Goujons – tender, flaky white fish in beautiful light batter, served with a tasty lemon mayonnaise. The prawns are also a must at the Robin Hood, served in a crispy coating with a tangy chilli dip you just can’t go wrong. Seafood lovers should also try the Garlic Squid; served with a tasty side salad and a wedge of lemon this fresh tasty squid was cooked to perfection with plenty of garlic, which tasted great, but friends may have to keep their distance later!
