It starts at the county road, known as Shadycombe Road approx. 65 metres north of Footpath No.5 Salcombe. The path continues through a field gate in an easterly direction on the southern side of the hedge through the field to a gap in the hedge and continues in an easterly and east south easterly direction into a second field, following the slope downhill to an old stone gateway. From here the path continues into a third field above Batson Creek and goes downhill in an east north easterly direction and passes on the southern side of an old hedgerow and continues to meet Footpath No.2 Salcombe, above Batson Creek. The width of the route is 2 metres and the total length is approximately 350 metres. The surface of the path is predominantly earth and grass. AND By ADDING Footpath No.50, Salcombe. This path is a public footpath. It is situated in the administrative of the South Hams and in the civil parish of Salcombe. The footpath starts at the county road known as Gould Road adjacent to Batson Creek, Salcombe. The path continues uphill in a north westerly direction to join Footpath No.2, Salcombe. The available width of the footpath is 1.3 metres and the total length is approximately 45 metres. The surface of the path is predominantly earth and stone.
