The data collection period for the first quarter (Q1) of ASCA’s 2018 Clinical & Operational Benchmarking Survey is open from April 1–30. Subscribers should make sure to submit their data before the deadline to get a complete picture of the trends for the year. The survey provides vital data that allows you to improve clinical outcomes, staff indicators and billing performance at your ASC.

BASC to Offer CAIP Certification The Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification (BASC) will offer the Certified Ambulatory Infection Pre- ventionist (CAIP) certification start- ing this fall. The first exam for the new certification program will be offered October 1–31, 2018, in test- ing centers around the country.
