Hello G-times, I’m sending a shout-out to all your readers out there to remind them not to forget to vote in the upcoming City Council and Mayoral elections. This is one of the most important elections in the City’s history. Local candidates who are elected will serve for 4 years instead of 2 years. For over a hundred years, since the founding of the City of Greensboro local City Council officials had to go before the voters for approval of their performance every 2 years. Not this time. If elected they get to serve 4 years. Its been said that all politics is local. If that’s the case, this City Council election takes on a whole new importance because of the man who presently sits in the White House in Washington. Early voting begins October 19th and the general election is Tuesday November 7th. Please go to the polls and vote!!!

Hello, G-Times, well, if you didn’t already know, the juice is loose. Yea, my man OJ Simpson. Hopefully he will keep his nose clean and not get into more trouble. First of all, he was set-up by his White so call friends and that’s how he ended up in jail in the first place. White America is out to get him for being found not guilty in the double murder case years ago. I don’t believe he killed those people because of the time line. He did not have enough time to kill them. It would have been impossible. This was basically the finding of the jury and that’s why the jury’s not guilty verdict was rendered so quickly. Of course, the racist fake news media, never adequately reported this fact. But you know, OJ is such an Uncle Tom full of self-hate, I’m wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t end up back in jail sometime very soon…

Hello, I want to send a shout out and congratulations to Rev. Dr. Anthony Spearman as the newly elected North Carolina NAACP President. Dr. Spearman is the pastor of St. Phillips AME Zion Church here in Greensboro and is a member of the local Greensboro Chapter of the NAACP. Dr. Spearman’s predecessor Dr. William Barber supported Dr. Spearman for his bid to succeed him. Dr. Spearman is a long time community activist and was arrested with several ministers and Alma Adams and Carolyn Coleman in support of labor rights for K-Mart workers here in Greensboro years ago. The NC NAACP leadership is in good hand with Dr. Spearman as the organization’s new leader.
Hey, I’m sending a shout out to all the brothers and sisters who hold down a job, graduate from college, serve in our armed forces and start businesses. You guys are the real MVP’s. You don’t get enough credit…

Hello, I asking our folk here in Guilford County to call our County Commissioners and ask them to help finance the proposed baseball stadium for downtown High Point. They turn down High Point officials request for help several weeks ago. This group of County Commissioners seem so narrow minded and short sighted. Can you image, 8 to 10 years from now the baseball rivalry between the Greensboro Grasshoppers and the High Point baseball team. It would be as big as the rivalry between Dudley High School and Smith, as big as NCCU and NCA&T and a game as big as Duke and Carolina basketball. What an economic boom for Greensboro, High Point and Guilford County. Jobs, vendors, local restaurants and stores, all Guilford County residents would benefit from this economic boom. Call Them (County Commissioners) and help them get their act together, it our tax money, you know…..

Hi-G-times, I have just a little advice and some food for thought for some of my younger people out there. In life, don’t compare your life to others, there is no comparison with the sun and the moon. They shine when it’s their time. Also, keep in mind, whether day or night, whether there’s light from the moon or sun, people who shine within don’t need a spotlight….

Hello, to all of you High Point readers of The Greensboro Times, Bruce Davis has an opportunity to represent you as the Mayor of High Point, please go out and vote and make Bruce Davis the Mayor of High Point. He’s the most qualified person for the job…

What up G-Times, you know the word Black is often always negative in Eurocentric language. Negative like black market, blackmail, black ball, black magic, black sheep and on and on and on. To me Black is still beyond beautiful. If you don’t believe it look at the Black woman. Proof positive, Black is Beautiful.
