Last year’s competition finalists

The 2017 HWYE competition has now closed and our judges are currently choosing the best entries from around the Thames Valley area (including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey).

Selection involves some preliminary interviews and all applicants will be notified by mid November of the outcome.

Jane Gregory, a judge at the HWYE finals, said: “The diversity of the entries is wonderful, coming from every sector of business and industry. It’s also encouraging to see how creative young people are in tackling the challenges presented by a difficult economic climate. We’re looking forward to an exciting finals.”

The finals event will take place on November 16 in Reading, so look out for details of the chosen finalists on our HWYE website and social media channels during that month.

The overall Haines Watts Young Entrepreneur of the Year will win a fantastic and useful set of prizes worth up to £5,000.*

All finalists receive a £250 cash prize, mentoring and PR for their businesses, which makes the competition well worth entering. They will also have the opportunity to attend an HWYE Mastermind event on February 22, 2018, where they can discuss business challenges and solutions with a speaker from the HWYE finals, Vanessa Lanham-Day.
