Experienced marketing professional Fran Kidd has joined Oxford accountancy firm Shaw Gibbs as marketing and business development manager. A professional services marketing expert, Kidd’s role is to help propel the firm through its next growth stage. Kidd, who has strong credentials in professional services business development, will focus on building the firm’s unique combination of online service provision combined with professional, friendly support for businesses and individuals from its team of experts.


RBS has strengthened its regional structured finance team in the South of England with two new appointments and a promotion. Stefan Gunn and Rebecca Jarrett both join the team as directors and will cover Solent, Thames Valley, the South West and South Wales. In their new roles Gunn and Jarrett will be responsible for originating, structuring and executing debt transactions for existing and new to bank clients, focusing on both corporate and private- equity-backed businesses. Peter Glinn, who joined the bank in 2015 through its apprenticeship programme, has been promoted to assistant director.


FISCAL Technologies, the world-leading provider of accounts payable forensic software, has appointed Daniel Earwicker chief software architect to support the engineering teams building FISCAL’s current and next generation products.In this newly created role. Working closely with FISCAL’s CTO and existing architects, Earwicker will ensure the engineering and architectural principles that underpin FISCAL’s world-leading software are supported throughout the product development process. Earwicker has more than 20 years of software development experience.


HR Wallingford technical director, John Harris, has been appointed Royal Academy of Engineering visiting professor in coastal and offshore engineering at UCL (University College London) within the civil, environmental and geomatic engineering department. He took up the appointment in September, and will contribute to UCL’s current degree programmes. A technical director in the coasts and oceans group, he is both a chartered engineer and chartered marine scientist.

Pitmans Law has appointed Claire Wheatley as a new banking partner based in its London office. She brings with her over 30 years’ experience in corporate banking, including secured and unsecured lending, acquisition finance, project finance and capital markets, with specialist expertise in property finance. Wheatley joins Pitmans from Hill Dickinson where she was a partner for four years. John Hutchinson, Pitmans Law managing partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome Claire to the firm. Anna Zatouroff joins the team as a senior associate having worked for many years as a partner in the real estate team at City of London firm Stitt & Co. She acts for developers, businesses, lenders and high-net-worth individuals and trusts on property transactions throughout England and Wales.

Ross joined Crossland Employment Solicitors in 2011 and brought with him five years of invaluable experience in employment law, including working in-house for a major legal expenses insurance provider.
