World Museum Travel back to the land of the pharaohs at Ancient Egypt: A journey through time; the unmissable gallery at Liverpool’s World Museum. The free-to-visit gallery features one of the UK’s most significant collections of ancient Egyptian and Nubian antiquities, and is the biggest Ancient Egypt gallery in the UK outside of the British Museum. Highlights include the gallery’s atmospheric Mummy Room; where visitors can come face to face with the past and delve deeper into the myths, mysteries and rituals surrounding the ancient Egyptian afterlife. Liverpool This autumn Tate Liverpool will be showing works by the famous American pop artist Roy Lichtenstein. He used a painting technique that mimicked comic books and newspapers that became synonymous with the influence of popular mass culture on modern art. Keep your children entertained this half term by joining the free family activities on offer including the Pop Dots workshop from Tuesday 24th to Friday 27th October. Young visitors can learn to use dotty patterns and quirky captions to have fun creating comic style collages to be proud of! W:
