Residents of the Harron Homes development, Queensbury Gardens, recently enjoyed a community street party for the third year running. Harron Homes was delighted to donate towards the running costs for the second year in a row.


The party took place last month and involved fun family activities including a gladiator joust, face painting and a bake-off. A burger van was arranged to provide


everyone with tasty food throughout the event.


Harron Homes have always emphasised the importance of building communities not just houses which is why they are always happy to contribute to events such as this. Residents of Queensbury Gardens share the same commitment to creating a community as Harron Homes and together they have been able to


put on a fantastic neighbourhood event.


The event was fully insured so the residents could concentrate on just having fun and the donation from Harron Homes helped to cover the costs involved in this.


The contribution from Harron Homes was greatly appreciated and helped make the whole event so enjoyable. Organisers of the party were delighted with the day; “It's a great way to meet new people and socialise”.

Orion Homes’ Dianne Reynolds Retires after 27 years of service


After 27 years with the company, Dianne Reynolds has retired from her position as Sales & Marketing Director at Orion Homes.


Dianne joined Orion Homes in 1990 as a part-time Sales Negotiator based at a development in Altofts nearWakefield. She quickly demonstrated an aptitude for new homes sales and soon progressed to a head office-based position as a Sales Assistant which led to a promotion to Sales Manager. In 2005 Dianne was appointed to the board of directors in recognition of her contribution to the company's sustained growth.


Orion Homes Chairman, Tim Lumb, said: “Having played such a significant and long-standing role in Orion Homes' success, Dianne's retirement feels like the end of an era. Dianne was instrumental in the company's record growth in the nineties and early 2000s. She was also vital in helping our commercial division to establish Orion Office Express, a business park in Horbury which continues to thrive today. After the financial crash of 2008 Dianne was a steady hand during a challenging period for the whole construction sector and the company is in excellent shape as she moves on to new beginnings. Everyone at Orion Homes wishes Dianne a very happy retirement. She has certainly earned it!”
