Meet the team in beautiful

Bembridge

The pretty, bustling village of Bembridge is a popular destination for families, retirees and second home owners alike. With its sandy beaches, Bembridge Sailing Club, Brading Haven Yacht Club and all year round sailing, it’s the perfect place to spend a holiday or to move to on a permanent basis. Boasting a wealth of cafes, restaurants, a delicatessen, a fresh fish shop and butchers as well as independent home and accessories shops, Bembridge seemed the next logical place for Spence Willard to set up their newest office in 2016. Staffed by three experienced estate agents who all live locally, you won’t get better advice on the benefits of Bembridge and beyond.

Lauren Taylor

Having grown up in Ryde, Lauren moved to Bembridge

in 2015 with her five year old daughter Bonnie and their retriever Boo. She worked for ten years at St George’s special school as an assistant and still provides respite care two days a week for a young autistic boy.

“I’ve always had a great love of houses and I’m a self-confessed Rightmove geek so when the opportunity came up to join the Spence Willard team here in Bembridge, I jumped at it. It’s a great unit that we’ve got here, we all love Bembridge and we know what people want to buy into so we can give a realistic view of what’s on offer with the local knowledge that can only come from people who actually live in the village.”

Lauren is also very crafty and likes nothing better than repurposing and making soft furnishings for her home, “I’m handy with a sewing machine and love to do things that are free or not expensive so I’ve made curtains and bunting for the house.”

Lauren, Bonnie and Boo have a great love of the coast and beach and enjoy kayaking and paddle boarding just down the road from where they live by the lifeboat station. “That’s why we got a dog really – to make the most of the coast and the next move is to get the dog onto the paddleboard! There’s a great family and community aspect here and you know who your neighbours are. When we first moved in, our neighbours threw a cocktail party for us and all of the local mums really took me under their wings – I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”
