On board with new office A
Bristol-based digital marketing agency has expanded with a brand new nautical-themed office to accommodate its growing team. Leading agency, Fat Media has seen incredible
growth over the last year, as a result the firm has invested in a 5,000 sq foot office, in the heart of Bristol’s vibrant and creative sector on Wine Street. The office, which overlooks Castle
Park and is just around the corner from St Nick’s market, has taken a fun take on Bristol’s nautical past, with seaside themed workspaces, beach hut meeting rooms, a pirate flag, barrel bar and a ship’s bow in the staff lunch area. The new furnishings are designed to

create a vibrant and creative atmosphere for the agency’s team. The office also provides space for new staff that Fat Media have appointed and to accommodate a new user testing lab, to allow Fat Media to robustly analyse the user-experience of their clients’ websites.
“We wanted to create this space to not only accommodate our growing team but to continue to reflect Fat Media’s personality with a vibrant, creative and engaging theme. The working culture at Fat Media is extremely important. The new office allows for a more relaxed environment for all our current employees and new graduates to get stuck into some of the fantastic work we do here.” The project, which began earlier this year, sourced materials from local shipyards, sellers, and up-cycled second-hand purchases to create an
authentic office decor within a budget. To celebrate the grand opening of the new office, Fat Media will host a networking
event for Bristol’s local businesses with special guest speaker, Google's Wim Wauters. For more information on the July event, visit:

Mobile app is just the ticket
A new ticketing app developed in Bristol has just been released to the public. Available for Apple and Android devices, Tikk is all about preventing touting, getting rid of booking fees, empowering users to resell tickets and offering better ticket security for event fans. Tikk is a mobile ticketing
platform for event organisers and independent businesses looking for a simple, secure platform to sell tickets. While it’s only available in Bristol for now, the app is designed to help people find tickets for local events and buy them quickly and securely. To create more freedom for ticket holders, Tikk allows ticket buyers to relist unwanted tickets to sold out events, free of charge. With ticket touting and fraud becoming a more widely discussed issue, a big focus during Tikk’s
development was how the app could combat these problems. The app also includes technology to identify real ticket buyers, using four levels of identification. Based in Bristol and developed by product agency and tech partners Simpleweb, Tikk positions itself as a secure, ethical ticketing platform. “Simpleweb has been on the
lookout for a ticketing startup with the right values for some time,” said Simpleweb managing director Mark Panay. ”When Tikk came along we knew that we'd found the right
opportunity at the right time.” Martin Hiscox, founder of Tikk, said: “We set out to
develop the easiest way to buy mobile tickets, with new levels of ticket security. It protect fans, artists and venues from problems associated with traditional ticketing.”
