Brief history lesson: Scottish Regional Office, Teresa Ironside hosted her first meeting in the shadow of the Forth Bridge. Construction of the bridge began in 1882 and it was opened on 4 March 1890. The bridge spans the Forth between the villages of South Queensferry and North Queensferry and has a total length of 8,094 feet.


Accessing the Forum 1. Have you registered on the forum? If you haven’t registered please go to the XKEC forum, www.xkec.co.uk/xkforum. Once on the home page click on the “Register” link at the top right of the page. Review the registration terms and then click the “I Agree to these terms”. Complete the registration page, please make a note of your password, and click the “submit” button.


A message will be displayed informing you that your account has been created but requires activation. Mark, the club chairman, will also be notified and will authorise your account. This could take up to 24 hours. You will also receive an e-mail message stating that your account has been created and awaiting activation. Your user name will NOT work until it has been activated.


You will receive another e-mail stating that your account has been activated as soon as Mark has done so; go to section 4 above. 2. You have registered but can’t remember your user name; Send me the e- mail address that you used to register and I will find your user name and send it to you. 3. You have registered and have your user name but can’t remember your password; To receive a new password, go to the XKEC forum, www.xkec.co.uk/xkforum and once on the home page click on the “Login” link at the top right of the page. Click the “I forgot my password” link; Enter your user name and the email address

Enter your user name and password and click the “Login” button. If the User name and password are correct you will then be shown the Forum main page. This lists all of the various forum sections with summaries showing the number of posts and who made the last post and when they did it. To familiarise yourself with the forum you should start by clicking the on “Forum Questions & Answers” section then clicking the “Forum “how to” guides” section. Here you will find a list of posts that explain how to use the forum. Once you are familiar with the forum you could add a new topic in the “New Member Introductions” section on the main page. Here you can introduce yourself and discuss your car.


One of the most used words on the Forum is . . . “THANKS”


Once you have finished you can simply close the web page. The next time you visit the Forum I suggest that you click on the “unread Posts” at the top of the page, this will list all of the new posts from all sections that you haven’t yet read including any replies or


comments on any of your own posts.
