Reclaim the Night Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (GRAS- AC) is organising the march on the 25th of November which starts outside Shire Hall on Westgate Street at 6.15pmand finishes around 8pmat Gloucester Quays.

The Reclaim the Night marches started in the UK in the 1970s. The marches be- came even more significant when, a man called Peter Sut- cliffe, began murdering women in and around Leeds. In their response, police advised wom- en to not go out at night; which only encouraged women to unite together and campaign. They organised marches and walked through the city streets to highlight that women should be able to walk the streets at nightwithout fear or risk of harassment and sexual violence.
