Our History
It was 1974 when songs like Barbara Streisand’s ‘The Way We Were’ reached number one on Billboards Top 100, and The Godfather II was the highest grossing film. It was also the year when Mike Acton and his partner, Darcy Ball, rolled up their sleeves and started building what is now Captain’s Village Marina. Eight of the original 55 acres were excavated in order to create the very first inland marina in British Columbia.
