While working

• There are 20 raspberries for 2 people to share. How many is that each? (Share them and then count.)

• Each person needs half a pot of two different yoghurts. Using the yoghurt pot, ask the children to point to half-way down.

• Why is this recipe made in a glass? [glass is clear/transparent and the stripy effect can be seen]

• What are these yoghurts made from? [milk and fruit] Tidying up

• Wash up and put all equipment away. • Tidy up and wash all surfaces clean. Sweep the floor if necessary. • Hang up aprons.

After

Quick test/quiz • There are 10 raspberries in each dish. How many raspberries would be needed to make 4, 5, 8 dishes etc. Count up in tens together.

• Do you think Stripy Berry Surprise is healthy? [yes, because fruit and yoghurt are both good for us]

• What other types of fruit or flavours of yoghurt would you like to try? Sequencing sheet

• Ask the children to cut out, muddle up and then stick the recipe pictures back in the correct order.

• Use this to talk about the recipe and what they did. Review

1. What did you do well? 2. What would you do differently next time?

• Ask the children ask if they enjoyed doing this – and suggest that they might do it at home.
