Suppliers
Choosing a supplier is just as important as choosing a product as this will affect the quality of the product and also your experience throughout the canopy/shelter buying process. When choosing a supplier, be sure to check the following:
Are the staff that will visit your premises DBS checked?
This is particularly important for schools or companies that will have children or vulnerable people onsite during installation times.
Does the company hold relevant certifications required for the industry including health and safety certificates?
It is important that the company holds x3 ISO accreditations for quality health and safety and the environment including: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001.
Can the company can provide proof of their certifications from widely recognised organisations such as ISO, CHAS and ConstructionLine? If so, this can show the company's professionalism, reliability and commitment to health & safety as they would have worked hard to achieve such accreditations.
Does the company have experience within the canopy and shelter industry? The more experience the company has, the more knowledge they have, ensuring they really understand their products and will recommend a solution that meets your needs. If they have installed lots of products then it should show they are a reliable and successful company which you can trust.
Are the company's staff fully insured to work on your site?
Can the company provide a copy of their insurance policy? Some sites require this as standard and all companies should be able to offer this with no hesitation.
Do they have high customer satisfaction levels that they can prove? Ask the company if they can supply a selection of testimonials from previous happy customers.
Can the company provide you with examples or case studies of their previous work? Don't be afraid to ask for images of their previous work and case studies. These show the stages involved in their processes and how well they have managed to overcome any problems they may have encountered in the past.
A list of local installations to you is always great as with permission, you can visit their previous installation, and to chat to the customer about their experience with the company.
