This collection for me is meant to come off as as much a hair shoot as a fashion shoot, the hair is wearable in all photographs and the clothes are directly inspired by one of the hottest trends for the coming year.

This was my finalist collection for BC Hairdresser of the Year at the 2012 Contessa Awards. I wanted the hair to be edgy but soft enough to contrast the punk rock styling. Even though I didn’t win with these photographs, I have to say it’s one of my favourite collections.

These photographs are only the second time I’ve shot a mens collection. The goal from the beginning I wanted to keep the hair simple with clean lines but diverse at the same time. I think in the future I’d love to create more mens styles and develop my own style in men’s hair.
