FAIRS Arthur Swallow Fairs’ Antiques and Home Show at the Lincolnshire Showground, five minutes’ drive from Lincoln, from Monday to Wednesday, April 4-6. Some 2000 exhibitors are expected in April at this now three-day show, held six times a year since they launched at the ground in 2009, after moving from Swinderby Airfield. Gate numbers have doubled since the addition of a second public day at the beginning of this year. 01298 27493. www.asfairs.com

International Antiques and Collectors’ Fairs (IACF) are at the Newark and Notttinghamshire Showground, two miles from Newark, on Thursday and Friday April 7 and 8. Up to 2500 exhibitors are expected for this, the organisers’ premier event and the largest in Europe, which runs six times a year. Since their acquisition in 2009 from dmg Antiques Fairs, IACF report an ongoing 25 per cent increase in attendance figures across their fairs portfolio. 01636 702326. www.iacf.co.uk

ATG are sponsoring the Cedric Ford Pavilion in the centre of the showground on trade day, April 7, and are looking

forward to welcoming dealers and exhibitors here between 10 and 4. Refreshments and subscription offers.

IACF piloted their first mid-week Monday fair at Swinderby Airfield, mid-way between Newark and Lincoln, in May last year. They have five dates scheduled for 2011, with the next, one year on, on Monday, May 16. These Monday slots have been a resounding success and other venues have followed; at Newbury Racecourse and new for this year at the Hertfordshire Showground.

Many regular trade buyers in the loop of Newark and Lincoln fairs call in to Field Dog Fairs’ venue at the Magnus Sports Centre in Newark. Organisers Ruth and Paul Thurman’s next event there is on Sunday, April 3. The Lincolnshire-based Thurmans have been organising fairs since 1992 and now have an impressive range of venues in Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland and Northamptonshire, including Grimsthorpe Castle in Lincolnshire. 01780 410286. www.fielddogfairs.co.uk

Newark-based B2B Events are launching a new weekend fair in Lincolnshire aimed at younger buyers and emphasising the home and vintage angle. Their first Antiques, Home and Vintage Show opens

at the 500-acre equestrian centre, Arena UK, between Newark and Lincoln, on May 1 and 2. 01636 676 531. www.edinburghantiquesfair.co.uk
