New scheme launched as part of a bid to deliver lasting legacy from Glasgow 2014

By Pete Hayman

The Scottish Government has launched a major new public health initiative, designed to encourage people across the country to increase their physical activity and boost the nation's health record. Active Nation forms part of

efforts to create a legacy from the 2014 Glasgow Common- wealth Games and will be delivered by a range of public, private and third sector partners through branded events and activities. A new website will also be

used to provide ideas to help people to become more active ahead of the 2014 Games, while setting out Personal Activity Goals for participants to incorporate exercise into their daily lives.
