Tony & Travis AYLOR


A


casual stroll into an art gallery almost four years ago in Breckenridge, Colorado began a journey into art


collecting for Tony and Travis Taylor. The couple started their collection by simply choosing their favorite pieces from the gallery. Tony chose a piece by Trokhimenko, and Travis chose the piece “Sweet Basil” by Michael Flohr.


less than a year after meeting, they were married in December of 2012. “We wasted no time and moved fast as we are people who know what we want in life,” Tony said. Neither had collected art prior to stumbling into the gallery in Breckenridge. Their art collection began as a simple game, each one picking out the piece that called their attention the most when first

From there, the Taylor’s love and appreciation for art continued to grow. “Not only are we learning about art and the artists who create these amazing pieces, [but] we have our own story around each piece and what it means to us,” said Tony. The pair met through a mutual friend the night before Christmas Eve in 2011. Their first trip together was to Colorado. Six months later they were engaged and

entering the gallery. Unbeknownst to them, this game evolved into one of their favorite hobbies.


Michael Flohr has continued to be one of the couple’s favorite artists to collect. While at a show where Michael Flohr was painting, the Taylors were introduced to the artist Daniel Ryan. “We loved his pieces and style so much that we decided to commission him to paint Elizabeth Taylor,


amazing team and talented artists. We consider ourselves honored and privileged to

our mini Bernedoodle puppy.
