PHOTOMETRIC TESTING +44 (0)1242 701300 www.photometrictesting.co.uk

Independent lighting test laboratory Photometric Testing is revamping its training programme for 2014 with the announcement of a new Practical Photometry module. Aimed at technical and marketing staff working with both traditional and solid state lighting, the 2 day Photometry Training Module explains how to measure and set meaningful and accurate performance specifications, reviews international lighting test standards, instructs how to perform photometric and colorimetric measurements and demonstrates how to create photometric data files used with lighting design software. A full day is spent in the state-of-the-art teaching laboratory at Photometric Testing. Delegates will learn how to measure lumens in an integrating sphere, colour temperature and rendering with a spectroradiometer and compile Photometric files with a goniophotometer. Software will be demonstrated for the creation of polar intensity charts, cone illuminance diagrams and UGR glare rating reports. Software used to manipulate and exploit Photometric files will be reviewed, such as DIALUX and RELUX. The Practical Photometry training is run four times a year (March, June, September and December) at Photometric Testing's Cheltenham laboratory.
