Crash! New adventures at Thorpe Park

Here’s some pictures of The Swarm at Thorpe Park with its new backwards facing seats (study the last two rows carefully).

The feature has been available to park guests since the start of the season, giving riders on the B&M Wing Coaster a unique thrill unavailable at any other park worldwide. To add to the

excitement, a new near-miss element has been added for 2013, as the train bursts though the mangled metal of a devastated advertising billboard (as pictured left). Guests visiting the park near London can now choose to sleep on site at The Crash Pad. This ‘portable’ hotel is presented by the company Snoozebox, which provides similar container accommodation at various UK festivals and sporting events. It’s the perfect overnight option for the park’s teenage fans. Promising to catapult visitors from “dream to scream in less than 60 seconds,” The Crash Pad comprises 58 small but perfectly formed, design- led rooms each units boasting en-suite wet rooms, flat screen TV and free wi-fi. A one-night stay for two adults, including evening entertainment, breakfast and two days in the park costs around £125 (£190/€145), cheaper on weekdays.
