Cassini Publishing Ltd Cassini Maps was founded in 2005 with the aim of providing something unique – reprints of historical Ordnance Survey maps of England and Wales that matched the scale, projection and coverage of present-day Ordnance Survey Landranger®
maps. Since then,
Cassini has created a wide range of consumer and business products using both its own mapping datasets and ones licensed from third parties. Cassini has also developed its own GIS software to create personalised mapping to any specified format. Cassini has commercial relationships with organisations in many sectors and is constantly seeking to increase and develop these further.
Partner solutions Cassini’s expertise lies in three main areas: its experience at working with historical Ordnance Survey mapping and creating derived products; its GIS software, which creates site-centred maps using Cassini’s own mapping or any geo-referenced datasets and which can deliver these to licensed partners through a dedicated API; and its own mapping datasets, many of which are licensed to third parties. All of these skills and assets can be used to help others achieve their own commercial objectives.

In 2010, Cassini was approached to provide personalised maps for a national newspaper’s promotion. This resulted in over 80,000 unique maps being created from its GIS software, printed and despatched.
