Major R&D boost for Cadac UNITED KINGDOM/CHINA

AUDIO CONSOLE manufacturer Cadac has recruited nine engineers at its Luton HQ, increasing the R&D department to 25 personnel. The new intake includes graduates from top universities in the UK and abroad.

Prior to this, more than half of Cadac’s personnel were employed in R&D; that figure is now 70%. Richard Ferriday, Cadac

brand development manager, commented: “This latest round of recruitment at Cadac is a visible indicator of

the renewed energy and direction in the brand in its pursuit and integration of new technologies into console design, and the continuing commitment of our parent company, Soundking, in investing in the brand and in the UK centre of operations.” R&D director Nick Fletcher said that the expansion of the R&D team would “enable us to further exploit the cutting-edge technologies embodied in our CDC four and CDC eight consoles, developing a whole new

technology day, TDay13, at the Audi Quattro rooms in Brentford, UK on 22 October. Forty manufacturers will present their technologies while the seminar programme will cover 4K/UHD, videowall content creation and the role of physics in audio installations. www.comm-tec.de www.electrosonic.co.uk www.midwich.com www.reflex.co.uk
