TECHNOLOGY: NEW PRODUCTS What’s new

OPTOMA EH7700

IT’S… The latest projector in the ProScene range and partner to the EH7500.

DETAILS: The EH7700 dual- lamp WUXGA projector is the brightest in the ProScene range at 7,000 lumens. It can be installed at any angle over a full 360° range of the vertical axis, including reproduction on ceilings and floors. The dust-sealed, filter-free design prevents dust and dirt from affecting the system – ensuring optimal image quality with minimal maintenance. To emphasise the extreme versatility of this

wheel maximises brightness while ensuring good colour reproduction, whereas the enhanced colour option maximises colour

performance and accuracy. The colour wheels are

EH7700 includes motorised lens shift, focus and zoom. Two colour wheel options ensure

image quality and brightness can be tailored to the requirements of the application. The standard colour

BEYERDYNAMIC TG 1000

IT’S… The first digital 24-bit wireless system that covers 319MHz of the UHF bandwidth (470-789MHz).

DETAILS: With intuitive one-button navigation, the system is easy to use and features a total latency of only 2.1ms. The TG 1000 comes equipped with digital encryption technology as standard, ensuring that meetings and sensitive information

remain confidential. Five of

beyerdynamic’s current microphones are available as interchangeable capsules for the TG 1000 – including

dynamic and condenser types, as well as the TG V90 ribbon.

AND ALSO: The TriplePlay Codec minimises error values while increasing error resistance.

QSC ACOUSTICDESIGN S8T, S10T, S12

IT’S… Three new weather- resistant surface-mount installation speakers suitable for foreground or background sound reinforcement applications.

DETAILS: Positioned at the larger end of the AcousticDesign series, the S8T, S10T and S12 are two-way 8in, 10in and 12in models, with coverage angles of 105º, 90º and 75º respectively. They feature both constant voltage (70V/100V) and low- impedance operating modes. The models have been designed with ease of

installation in mind. A new mounting solution common to all models, the X-Mount (patent pending), can be fitted on-site during construction. The speaker can be fitted subsequently by simply lifting it on to the mount and locking it in place. Available in black or white, the speakers can be mounted horizontally or vertically, and can be adjusted for pan, tilt and yaw. A grooved ball in the key pivot points allows the speaker’s angle to be adjusted in 7.5º increments – and tick marks on the

interchangeable modules and can be fitted or exchanged on site without removing the projector cover. The device has five spherical lens options that use the latest Low Dispersion (LD) glass to ensure optimum sharpness and focus uniformity over the entire image.

PEAVEY MX16, MX32, LIVE

IT’S… Three additions to Peavey’s Architectural Acoustics Digitool multiprocessor series.

DETAILS: The Digitool is now available in three new models: the MX16, featuring eight inputs and eight outputs; the MX32, featuring 16 inputs and 16 outputs; and the LIVE, featuring eight balanced XLR inputs and outputs for live sound FOH applications. These all-new processors

feature a more powerful DSP engine, full-colour LCD screen, enhanced front- panel navigation, individual input and output mutes, and five-segment LED arrays for input and output signal monitoring.

mount every 15º provide a convenient visual reference.

AND ALSO: The speakers feature Directivity Matched Transition, QSC’s acoustic design approach that matches the coverage angle of the compression driver to the coverage angle of the woofer at the crossover point. This is claimed to produce remarkably consistent coverage, optimum power response, and smooth, accurate reproduction both on and off-axis.

In addition, there is a USB port on the front for programming and an Ethernet port on the back for either programming or connecting to a network. On the back panel, there

are eight control voltage ports and two RS485 ports, allowing for more external control than the original Digitool MX. All three

models include a global, 100-240V power supply.

AND ALSO: Other new features include improved dynamic range and a new graphical user interface featuring MediaMatrix N-Ware.
