Iowa Metalcaster Hosts Romney Republican presidential candidate


Mitt Romney recently addressed supporters at LeClaire Manufacturing in Bettendorf, Iowa. LeClaire Manufacturing Co. is a family-owned business in Bettendorf


specializing in aluminum casting for customers worldwide. Romney pointed out the success of


American entrepreneurial fi gures and spent time discussing his fi ve-point plan to get America back on track. T e plan


prioritizes strengthening the economy, utilizing available energy resources, and increasing the quality of education, among other things. “T at plan creates 12 million jobs in four years,” he said, according to T e Daily Iowan. 


Waukesha Celebrates 100 Years, Announces Investments

Wis., celebrated 100 years of operation Sept. 8 with an open house and picnic for employees and their families, as well as retirees and local dignitaries. T roughout its 100-year history,


Waukesha Foundry has adapted its product line and business focus to meet industry demand. Along with a $2.2 million


investment in foundry equipment and offi ce renovation this year, the company has: • Restructured its union agreement with a Pay for Skill program.


• Developed a partnership with French tool shop, Groupe Allio.


• Secured a major order from Japan Aeroforge/Kobe Steel.


• Implemented an ERP system within a six-month timeframe.


• Launched a fi ve-year, $25,000 scholarship program for UWM College of Engineering & Applied Science students. “2012 has been an exciting year for

cookware, it is now a sophisticated manufacturer of high alloy castings for the aerospace, automotive, defense, petrochemical and food processing equipment markets. 
